LOW LYING RECTANGULAR BOX

Hey crafting folks!!! I am back with another box for ya. I used a very pretty paper for making a low lying rectangular box! It is an easy box and its making style is similar to that of the card box that I made earlier. So….let’s start!

Card stock/Paper: 7 ½” X 4 ¼”

Score at:
On the long side (7 ½” side): ¾”, 6 ¾”
On the short side (4 ¼” side): ¾”, 2 ¾”, 3 ½”, 5 ½”
Here are the score lines:

You don’t need to actually cut anything from your paper but there is some notching…..

As you would have noticed that on the borders there are 3 squares and 2 rectangles on each side. Fold your right hand side square over the adjacent rectangle. as shown below and do the same thing on the opposite side.

Then fold the left hand side and center squares over the adjacent rectangle. as shown below and do the same thing on the opposite side.

Your box shall look like this with all the folds made.

So if you close the box, it will look like this….

I made a small embellishment. I have highlighted its border by using sponge and black paint/ink.

And here I have stuck the embellishment on the box with the help of double sided tape.

And there it is the box made…! Thank you so much for stopping by! If you like my projects pls subscribe. If you have any problems or suggestions, u can email them to me. SUBTLE BUTTERFLY CARD (8)

Hey crafting folks! Ya……I know that I am meeting you after a long time……but I hope that I will be able to cheer you up when you see this lovely little cute card. It has a very subtle colour with a lovely butterfly. So let’s dig into this project……

Paper/Cardstock needed: 3” X 9”

For the first step, just fold your cardstock/paper into half….

Now cut out a small rectangle of measure 1 6/8” X 2 5/8”

Why not give it a border? If you want to do the border that I have done then you will need a marker with a flat tip(highlighter tip). Here’s a picture for you to know what I am talking about.

Now just your pen unevenly on the sides like so….

Now just write your sentiment on the rectangle

Cut out a rectangle on the front of your card which is of the same size as the previous rectangle (1 6/8” X 2 5/8”)

Now just stick your white rectangle on the rectangular opening of the card with double sided tape

I made this beautiful butterfly which I learnt on youtube. You can even use a butterfly cut-out for this. Just stick your butterfly on the card at an angle.

EASY PRETTY ENVELOPE (7)

Hey crafting folks! Welcome back to craftix!! I know that you must have tried making an envelope at least once. I’m gonna break it down for you in this tutorial. It is a very easy method and you can prepare an envelope in just a few minutes. Let’s start!!

Card stock/paper needed: It depends on the size of the envelope that you want  to make. I’ll be using an A4 size sheet for this one.

Holding the sheet horizontally, fold the sheet leaving some space for the flap like so…..

Burnish well!!!

Score on the folded sheet on the left & the right side leaving about ¾” of space on both sides.

Parts to cut off are as follows:

Now that the upper tabs have been chopped off, make some lines as shown below:

Cut them off so that your paper looks like this:

Fold  your side tabs  so that your envelope looks like this:

Honestly, you can make any embellishment. Nut for this one, you’ll need 2 cut outs of flowers
Lift the petals of the flowers

Place them one top of the other as shown below
Make the flower prettier by adding a stud to it

Just add this flower to your envelope where ever you like

Have a look at my collection of envelopes below: (the one with the balloons is the show stopper)
